4. For question #2, what did you do differently from the original post? Please outline, explain and justify what you changed & why. Essentially, what did you learn from this new topic and what did you change and why. (8 Marks)
For this revised approach, the main difference was how the content was put together and written for the reader rather than what the content was saying.
By presenting information in a big block of text, I did things a little differently. Here are some things I focused on:
- I organized the content in an F-pattern format so users can scan the content easily
- I put the important information at the top so it catches your attention right away
- I used sentences and simpler words to make things clear
- I broke the content into parts to make it easier to read
What I learned from this topic is that how you present the information is just as important as the information itself. Even if the content is good, it will not work if it is hard to read or scan.
By using English and following the F-pattern principles, I changed my approach to focus on the user experience. My goal was not just to inform people but to make sure readers can quickly understand the message, stay interested, and do something about it.
Overall, these changes make the content work better because they are based on how people read and use websites rather than how we think they should read the content of the website.
